Mother’s Day Fun Run with Xcentuate
Just to let you know the annual Mothers Day Classic walk/FUN run is on again this year on May 9th at Southbank Parklands. The Mothers Day Classic is a national event run in all the capital cities and in many regional centres. Since 1998 it has raised over $5.7 million for breast cancer research and last year alone more than 80,000 competitors helped to raise $1.3 million for the National Breast Cancer Foundation.
There are 4.5km and 8km events taking place on the day, starting at 7:45am and 8:00am respectively. Michael and I are bringing our mum’s along for a walk so why not come and join us? It still leaves plenty of time to have lunches or get togethers with the rest of the family!!

Also, Ben will be jogging it, so he’ll be able to help you out if you want to try and push yourselves. So even if your mum can’t come along, there’s no excuse not to give it a go!!
If you enter before the 30th of April your race kit will get posted out to you, and if you enter before the 23rd of April, you get the early bird rate of only $27. You are still able to enter all the way up to the 6th of May, although you will just have to collect the race kit yourself.
For more information and to enter simply visit www.mothersdayclassic.com.au/event/qld/brisbane.

Just to let you know, we will also be taking part in the Rotary Fun Run on the 23rd of May at UQ. This takes place on a similar course to the Twilight Fun Run that a number of you competed in a few weeks ago, however this time it’s a 5km run. This would be a great opportunity to push yourselves that little bit further as you all did a great job in the 3km Twilight run. So keep your eyes out for more information on this in the coming weeks or visit www.rotaryfunrun.com.au for more information.
